With extensive experience handling high-profile cases and aggressively pursuing the rights of our clients in complex disputes, we never lose sight of what matters most to our clients.

Whether faced with a disciplinary matter that could strip you of your career prospects, a law that creates barriers to accessing the healthcare you need, or a dispute that could jeopardize the future of your business, you can count on us to approach your problems with the resolve and dedication that the circumstances demand.

We are committed to helping you solve your most challenging problems.

Ellie Schilling’s expertise and unwavering advocacy made all the difference during a lawsuit that placed my degrees, reputation, and future career in jeopardy. Because of her tireless dedication and steadfast support, I was able to retain my degrees, restore my reputation, and move forward in pursuing my career goals — something for which I will always be deeply grateful.

What You Can Expect

Schilling Litigation represents both individuals and businesses, whether they find themselves in the position of a plaintiff or defendant. We specialize in contentious business litigation and disciplinary matters, lawsuits, and regulatory proceedings against the State, Universities, and other entities.  Our work has resulted in many high-profile successes for the clients we serve.

Schilling Litigation was built with the purpose of approaching each case with deep intellectual analysis, creative problem solving, and a keen eye towards tactical strategy.  Unlike many lawyers, we love going to trial, and have a track record of success to show for it.  But we never overlook opportunities for an amicable resolution or a strategic offramp.  We understand that what clients really want – particularly in matters that are highly contentious or deeply personal – is peace of mind.  Clients trust us for our integrity, reliability, and professional judgment.

Legacy of Commitment and Results

Black and white newspaper clipping featuring a photograph of Glenn Schilling, a man with glasses, dressed in a suit, sitting at a desk. The headline reads, "Replaces Martin Schilling Is Sworn In as U.S. Commissioner." The text mentions Glenn Schilling being sworn in as a U.S. commissioner in Louisville, replacing Boyce F. Martin Jr. and discusses his background and qualifications.

Schilling Litigation was born out of a legacy of Schilling lawyers with a commitment to excellence and a drive to deliver results, no matter how controversial the matter or contentious the setting. Known for its tenacity, Schilling & Schilling was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 1979 by lawyers at the forefront of federal court efforts to desegregate schools, and who pioneered the fight for workers compensation rights.

Schilling Litigation represents the third generation of that commitment, and was founded with the same spirit of tenacity and resolve.

There is a telephone and some books or papers on a shelf behind him. A caption below the photograph states, "Glenn Schilling, a Louisville attorney, has been appointed by U.S. District Court Judge James F. Gordon to oversee and monitor the implementation of Gordon’s school desegregation plan."

  • We work collaboratively. We regularly serve as co-counsel or local counsel with national law firms and non-profit legal organizations.  Judges, former clients, and other Louisiana lawyers – including our opposing counsel – often refer cases to us. We also have longstanding relationships with state and local government officials who trust our expertise and professional judgment.

  • After nearly two decades practicing in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana, we know the key players and decision makers, whether at State agencies and commissions or public and private flagship Universities, and we understand how they think. Unlike many attorneys, we also have extensive experience on both the plaintiff and defense side, which gives us a unique perspective on the tactics and arguments the other side is likely to deploy.

  • We have a reputation for taking on some of the toughest matters. Through innovative strategies, intellectual rigor, and relentless preparation, we prevail in cases others consider “unwinnable.” We are not afraid of a fight, and our track record of success speaks for itself.
